Preface
Welcome to the November 2019 edition of the Paralake Police Department's Monthly Roundup. This newsletter is designed to raise awareness of the progress of the Police Department over the past month. It will include any key changes in the Police Department and spotlights on certain teams and divisions.

Message from the Chiefs
We've had a very exciting month within the Police Department, unfortunately, we've seen the resignation of Samuel from Chief of Department which means the position is open. The recruitment has been a bit different this time so we're allowing the community to vote, it's exciting to see all of the candidates that put their name forward and we wish them all the best. Development has also started to move forward for the police department with new things such as the Road Traffic Unit BMW being implemented, we do highly urge anyone that has ideas for the department to bring them forward to us!

Key moments
Chiefs of Department
  • There have been a lot of changes in the leadership of the Department this month with the resignation of our previous Deputy Chief of Department @TinySlayer at the beginning of the month and his new position as Quartermaster as well as the subsequent promotion of @Dom_ to Deputy Chief of Department. Lastly, our Chief of Department @Samuel is stepping down and his successor is yet to be chosen. We wish the best of luck to @TinySlayer and @Samuel, as well as good luck to all Chief of Department applicants.

Road Traffic Unit
  • Earlier this month, the Road Traffic Unit Command Team launched the #ISawTheSign campaign. Congratulations to all the winners and a big well done to @TheHitMan. Alongside this, the RTU BMW 340i was pushed out recently and is clearly popular among Traffic Officers. If you are a Patrol Officer and want to apply for the Road Traffic Unit head over to the careers page on plpd.online.
