Suggestion Title: Mute and Speaker options for phone calls
Suggestion Description: Like on real phone calls, add a button that will mute the phone's microphone, allowing you to still hear the caller but the caller to not hear you. And a speakerphone button that lets people standing around you to hear the phone call as well. These could be both key binds and physical buttons that can be clicked on with the phone open.
Why should this be added?:
- Ability to talk to others around you or on a radio without interrupting the caller or having them hear you
Let those around you hear the conversation as well, useful for business that have one phone line but multiple employees, or police situations where multiple people can hear the call.
Realism!
What negatives could this have?:
- New players may accidentally trigger these options and not know how to disable them
What problem would this suggestion solve?: Coordination between people handling an incident and the person taking calls for said incident would be a lot easier if everyone could hear the same phone call! Also, being able to mute the phone allows for comments to be made on the call without being heard, or for cases like police dispatch, allows radio coordination such as sending units to a location without interrupting the caller.
