Server Suggestion NERF the Mercedes SLR

Suggestion Description:
The SLR is a exremely overpowered vehicle right now, it has better handling and acceleration than all the other supercars and the functional top speed is not low enough to make up for it. It is faster than all the other cars, including the ones that cost over 4mil like the Bugattis or McLarens and with upgrades it can even go head to head with a 20mil Mazda Furai.

In the Racing events my org is hosting, the SLR has scored 70% of all points given out this season.

The SLR could be 5-10mph slower in top speed and STILL be the best car.

Why should this be added?:
- It's OP

What negatives could this have?:
- people who buy one complain

What problem would this suggestion solve?:
SLR being too op

I will say this: The racing data proves little-to-nothing in regards to which car is OP.

You're forgetting one major thing with data analysis "Correlation vs causation". Meaning the raw data alone isn't enough. You'd need to ban the SLR from the next races, see how different the results are and run a few races that way to remotely include the possibility of it being causation.

Are the players winning because of the SLR? Or are the top racers picking the car because it suits them most for their racing style? Are they simply picking the car because the other top racers use it? And so many more questions....

Will I say the SLR is not a good car? No. But the data alone doesn't really show much significance to me.

Just to show how easily it is to assume something is causation, when it's just coincidental correlation:

Not to pat myself on the shoulder but the data is pretty good, it's from 22 events and has enough drivers with different cars to be a useable reference, the 70% quote is from the last 7 races, here is the graph for the first 15

besides anecdotally everybody already knew the SLR was the best car, that wasn't event up for debate, the only question is if its bad enough to justify a nerf

While I somewhat agree with this, cars are simply not modelled enough in game to account for 'driving style', there's no down force, no weight differences, it's purely speed and acceleration and that isn't enough for driving styles to vary. I have to agree with Kalli and others here, the car for it's price is just better in the only two aspects that matter, speed and acceleration, you pay more for a Bugatti that in reality is slower, accelerates worse and has the downside of smaller trunks.

Things like the gwagon are different, due to it being a 'raid car', but in theory other super cars should be performing better if they cost more, just due to the fact perpheads does not model enough about car physics for driving styles to make a difference or even exist

Why not the option to apply a "spec" upgrade, an upgrade available on every car that sets its stats to that of a standardised vehicle (by class) for races like this

That would be 10x more work and the car would still be OP. The car is OP all the time, not just Saturdays once a month when people race. As others mentioned the SLR has also more trunk space than the Bugattis or the La Ferrai/Enzo
