Introduction
Back in 2017 some ripper legends, mainly @Riekelt , started a project called ParalakeFM. It was a community run project where anyone could DJ an in-game radio. Unfortunately due to some turmoil within the community it died somewhere in 2017 after a short reboot. Back then, the community was struggling to hit 50 players a day. Now with over double the playercount of 2017, me, including others, aim for a return of one of PERPHEADS most ambitious player projects! And this time, we're doing it right.

Improvements
We'll build on what was popular and improve on one of the downfalls. New features include:

- Real time player suggested songs
- Easy DJ application process
- Web interface: No DJ software required!
- In game interaction: Bazaar advertisements and more!
- PLS and Youtube stream
- Video integration for bazaar shops and bases! Consider it Paralake.TV!


Programmes:
- Music shows
- Podcasts
- Community Event Coverage

Goals
- Return ParalakeFM to it's former glory
Allow anyone in the community to partake
Integrate ParalakeFM into the player world (Shops, TV, etc)


Launch date: 9th of March

As we're moving into the next phase of the project, I would like some information as to where ParalakeFM is heading and what is to come in the future.

First of all, 'ParalakeFM' is going to be a 24/7 television-style live stream. This is interesting for a number of reasons, but mainly, this allows Paralake.fm to exist fully in the scope of the environment of Paralake City. You've probably gone to a City Hall or doctor's office once before. Ever saw one of those televisions in the waiting room broadcasting local television? That's exactly what we're going to be aiming for: But exceptionally more fun. ParalakeFM will be in every in-game lobby, public area and in every car radio. hopefully.

Whenever there is no host live streaming a programme, the ParalakeFM system has an automatic broadcast taking over the stream. This automatic stream will play music, but also play anything we want. The latest community showcase? We'll record a voice over for that and broadcast it every hour. Advertisements to promote your business or organisation? Sure, throw it up. Want to shoutout a message to a friend or promote your business? Send a text to the station and it will be broadcast in the graphic overlay of the stream.

You've surely noticed the amount of people who act as a journalist in-game or have in some form tried to run a news show in any way, shape or form. While 'we' think that anyone should be able to exist besides ParalakeFM, we hope that having all of paralake's finest journalism bundled under one organization, will lead to something that will last longer than a month.


below you'll see an example of how it will look when a broadcaster starts a stream. The automatic broadcast will switch over without any intervention by the broadcaster.

Technically, almost everything is ready for our pilot phase.
