Suggestion Title: Peephole for Doors
Suggestion Description: - I was thinking about the experience of playing as a civilian in the Slums or other areas. Imagine hearing a knock on your door, there's always that tension of not knowing whether it's an armed threat or just another civilian. To add more realism, why not introduce peepholes for doors? This simple addition would allow players to check who’s outside before opening up, enhancing both immersion and security.
Why should this be added?:
- A peephole would provide a realistic way for civilians to identify visitors before opening the door, adding an extra layer of safety. There have been situations where I’ve called the cops for help, only to open the door and realize it’s actually a group of robbers. With a peephole, players would have more control over their security and gain enough time for law enforcement to arrive if needed. This feature would significantly enhance the roleplay experience, especially for those playing as civilians.
What negatives could this have?:
- This could make break-ins more challenging for raiders, as players would have the advantage of spotting them before opening the door. Also, law enforcement could respond more effectively. However, a possible counterbalance could be a system where raiders can temporarily break peepholes using a crowbar or another tool, adding an extra layer of strategy.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: - While it won’t completely eliminate crime, adding peepholes would improve the overall quality of life for civilians, making the city feel safer and more immersive. It creates a more balanced dynamic between criminals and law-abiding citizens, encouraging smarter decision-making in high-risk situations.
