Suggestion Title: Peephole for Doors
Suggestion Description: - I was thinking about the experience of playing as a civilian in the Slums or other areas. Imagine hearing a knock on your door, there's always that tension of not knowing whether it's an armed threat or just another civilian. To add more realism, why not introduce peepholes for doors? This simple addition would allow players to check who’s outside before opening up, enhancing both immersion and security.

Why should this be added?:
- A peephole would provide a realistic way for civilians to identify visitors before opening the door, adding an extra layer of safety. There have been situations where I’ve called the cops for help, only to open the door and realize it’s actually a group of robbers. With a peephole, players would have more control over their security and gain enough time for law enforcement to arrive if needed. This feature would significantly enhance the roleplay experience, especially for those playing as civilians.

What negatives could this have?:
- This could make break-ins more challenging for raiders, as players would have the advantage of spotting them before opening the door. Also, law enforcement could respond more effectively. However, a possible counterbalance could be a system where raiders can temporarily break peepholes using a crowbar or another tool, adding an extra layer of strategy.

What problem would this suggestion solve?: - While it won’t completely eliminate crime, adding peepholes would improve the overall quality of life for civilians, making the city feel safer and more immersive. It creates a more balanced dynamic between criminals and law-abiding citizens, encouraging smarter decision-making in high-risk situations.

Actually quite like this idea honestly, would be nice for the apartments that don't have windows facing doorways and helps new players feel safe

Would be a good idea but couldn't you just see raiders from it and blast the area and the raiders wouldn't know therefore 1 sided advantage
Indeed, it would make raiding even harder than it is, since the raiders would have to start blasting through the front door immediately to not risk getting shot first. Overall a great suggestion but in perp it would just be a pain in the ass for the raiders and probably other things asw.

The city isn’t exactly supposed to “feel safe”. It also doesn’t create a more balanced dynamic as defending a base is significantly easier than raiding one.

"We getting raided guys"
*checks keyhole, sees where the raider and his 5 man org is is
*blasts him and posts his win in his next montage

next suggestion: add a claymore

This is clearly asking for a one way so you can wallbang raiders. If you can’t handle being raided, go forest grow or don’t base.

I think this would be OP in defender's favour leading to quick ballbangs, I don't think this would be a good addition

I don't base or raid so I'd like to think I have an unbiased opinion, but I think if there is a means for the raiders to destroy the peephole then I think this would be a good addition.

Can't you also be wallbanged from crowbaring/lockpicking a door so I don't see how this would be much different if you could use those same tools to remove the peephole. (I.e a lockpick-like tool to quietly remove the peephole and a crowbar tool to noisily break the peephole)

Because you can literally locate for example I can see if I'm lockpicking from the left side or the right or the center therefore I just have to scan the area they were using and just shoot that space

Good idea, may be a good idea for people to be able to cover them temporarily with a piece of tape or something, to balance the advantage of being able to see raiders before they strike.

"Hey guys our peephole just got covered but i've been watching it for the past 4 hours, blast the door."
