The server is open to all for now, but will be closing down at 5:00 until between 8:00 and 9:00 (all GMT). When the server opens, it will be whitelisted and become official and the 'drafted' rules (ie: subject to change) will be available here. When it is open, we will continue to accept new organizations for a week at their own disadvantage for joining late.

When you join, you will spawn in a bedrock box with a starter kit. The leader of the organization must claim the faction tag (/f create <name>) and contact me in order to be taken to their reserved starter house. You have a default house (identical to everyone else's) within 500 blocks of at least one other industry (you'll have to explore to find the others), and there will be a 'spawn' city: you can /spawn there and back, and it will be inaccessible by other means. It is a safe zone in which you can perform 100% secure trades, and nobody can PvP. In order to inhibit AIDS, PvP will be disabled initially. Teleportation will be allowed, but there is a 5 second warmup in which you must stay still and not be attacked in order to TP. More info to come.

I never heard of Tekkit but I played minecraft once upon a time, it was cracked... but i think i'll buy it for this
So if i will, after i buy it i guess i'll have to download the launcher and launch Tekkit from there. Then? the game starts like minecraft? do i have to do something else? also why do i have to own Minecraft to play Tekkit? is it an extension of the game?
