Hello!
We'll be running a CS:GO tournament from the 19th August. This thread serves as an informational thread as well as a sign up thread. Signup will close Saturday 6th at 3pm, so get your teams together ASAP!

We'll be running the same format as last year's tournament, however this year all times are allotted prior to the event with contingency slots.

Teams are 5 members and up to 2 named reserves who must all be within a similar competitive skill group. Reserves may not hold the highest rank in the group. This is discretionary this time, but as a rule of thumb the range of competitive ranks should be no greater than 5. You must be either an established, or active community member, and those who are banned from the server may apply but are subject to discretionary rejection. Those with VAC bans must make a special declaration on the form.

Form a Steam Group with your team and invite all members. Fill out the form below and when your application is confirmed, you will be sent a form to figure out which match slots you are available to honor.

There will be no more than 8 teams in the tournament unless oversubscribed by a factor near to 2.

Just to clarify those criteria again:
  1. 5 members
  2. 2 named reserves (who may be part of another team but are not entitled to prizes)
  3. At least one official member must be a higher rank than the reserves.
  4. Members and reserves must have similar skill group, range of 5 ranks as a rule of thumb. Ask if you are uncertain.
  5. Established or active community members only.
  6. If you are banned you may be turned down.
  7. VAC bans must be declared, even from an alternate account.

The match times will be provisionally released to the teams who will declare which slots they are available in. Once matches are confirmed they will be released on a separate thread containing stream information.

Seeing as though last year's livestream featuring cool PERP blokes (and blokettes) as the casters was so well received, we'll be livestreaming this tournament. Instead of Twitch, it shall be streamed to YouTube so that people can watch it together on the PERP server too.

If you are interested in aiding with the stream, or as a 'marshal', then please contact me via PM ASAP.​

Regarding those unranked, if you have held a rank previously but just not played in a while, you can either provide the rank you last held, or play some comp matches and get a new rank.

You do NOT have to have any reserves, but you will automatically lose a match if you cannot honor the agreed time.​

Are you guys strict on the whole team ranks must be similar thing? I would like to sign up and play but all my buddies are silver 1-3 and I'm LEM..


Anyways, if anybody is looking for a player or a reserve or one of their players backed down, I'm your man.

So far we've had most of the availability forms submitted, things are going well so far! At this rate, the initial match schedule should be released in the next couple of days.

I've spoken with @StephenPuffs :stephen: about getting a large TV with a large radius on the server so we can run a kind of 'fan park' ingame to watch the matches with 110% :hype: and drunken brawls. Expect PLPD presence (/mereppin)
