Hello folks! Today we're back with a random hardware post, and since we've probably all been here before asking this very question I'll get right to it.

My phone is entering the stage of it's last life as feels like it basically is on life support.

Therefore I'm seeking out a new phone to replace my current one and I was hoping the tech geeks in here would bestow their wisdom upon me.

Max price that I have for the new phone is 1200€

I have a two simple criteria to the phone
  • NO IPHONE otherwise I WILL find a reason to carbomb you (Android only please)
  • Decent front and back camera (Photo & Video)
I've been using OnePlus phones up until now my latest OnePlus Nord CE 2 (5G) which I've had for about 2-3 years ish and given the issue that I've having with it I felt like this was the time for an upgrade.

Let me hear your suggestions below, I'm excited to see what you guys have in mind!

Some of the newer Samsung phones seem to be alright. We use them at work and they get dropped etc and seem to be rigid and don't break every 2 mins. There cameras seem to be alright as well. Likewise a couple of the google phones seem to be half decent however never have used one myself. What I recommend is do some research online and compare it to what your going to use it for.

between 800-1100 euros is my price range atm
If you liked your OnePlus then it might be worth taking a look at Nothing. It was founded by one of the co-founders of OnePlus, so a lot of their original principles have flowed through. I believe their latest and greatest is the Phone(3), which should be within your budget.

EDIT:
I've just quickly looked at some reviews for the Phone(3) and apparently for the price it kind of blows. In which case, maybe take a look at the Google Pixel range; my friend has had a number of Pixels and he loves them.

I have been a Xiaomi user for about 7 years now, and I cannot complain. I started with the Xiaomi Pocophone F1, then moved to the Xiaomi Poco F2, and now I've had a Xiaomi 11T for the last three years or so. I would argue the first two are the best phones I have ever had by a very long shot, so maybe look into what Xiaomi Poco is making these days. The only issue with Xiaomi phones is the OS, but they fixed 99% of the issues it had when they made the switch from MIUI to HyperOS.

Sadly nothing has stepped away from what they did best to offer more expensive flagship phones that are just shitter then what exists on market for the same price :(

If you care about camera just stick with OnePlus, I have a OnePlus open and enjoy it, can't really beat them for camera quality when they teamed up with hasseblad

Can vouch for this, once you debloat the Xiaomi phones they're great.
Have been using the Xiaomi 13T Pro before I got a good deal to try out the Samsung Galaxy Flip 6.

Do keep in mind that there might be some issues with pairing them to Android Auto on certain vehicles

Google Pixel, hands down. You'll never want anything else. It'll make the latest samsung feel like ancient garbage.

The Nothing Phone 3.
An alternative to Samsung, a bit more budget of an option but decent front and back camera, good RAM and actually looks really sleek in design.

Or as said, a pixel

I handle a lot of phones as part of my work and I've probably seen about every phone on the market. Pixels are by far one of the most secure phones as well security wise
