Suggestion Title: Remove organisation leaderboard.
Suggestion Description: This might and probably is a stupidly crazy take and i am prepared to be downvoted and sentenced to the pits of hell by the pvp orgs, but nonetheless i believe the organisation leaderboard should be removed (to an extent) by to an extent meaning i think the leaderboard for crime stuff Combat, drugs, illegal activies should be removed. And maybe some new categories should be added (i dont know what this could be im sadly not very creative)

Why should this be added?:
- I want the organisation leaderboard removed because i believe this would remove alot of the reasoning for players to spam raids and bank raids and effectively ruining the overall roleplay of the server AND get rid of a whole lot of toxicity and bans that come from this magical number in the f3 menu going up. A couple positive things listed below.

- New players not knowing about rules for example punching someone and causing them to bleed accidentally then automatically getting executed and starting shootouts with police over it for ACTUALLY 0 GAIN (should the leaderboard be removed)

- this would hopefully make it so alot less raids happen and so the server can actually have a little harmony and the Police department can focus on other stuff than getting black screened every 10 minutes just to get a 911 call about a new raid and go die/ and or win and then respond to another raid 5 mins later, you get the point.

- This might create a ripple effect causing people who before would only seek out pvp and reasons to KOS ( kill people on sight) whenever they have the ability to because they technically are allowed to within the rules to actually seek out proper roleplay or other things to do within the game than just kill kill kill 24/7 mindlessly.

- Genuinely would make the server more realistic if there were less raids.

What negatives could this have?:
- Pvp orgs will be furious about this.

- might make alot of players who see the server as a raiding playground quit the game causing the server to die (doubtful)

- if you have any other negatives/positives this would have you can think of please comment down below im very open to criticism and im ready to be proven wrong if this in reality is a shit idea afterall.

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Fixing the server being basically, Rust with rules as i like to call it a place where people log in to raid and/or play PD to go to those raids.

I think we're internally conflicted about this idea, I have requested we try this a couple of times already but likely we will be seeing what change if any the next map release has before making a final conclusion on this

This whole ordeal existed long before the leaderboard got added. The only difference now is we know whos winning instead of having to rely on cope-posting to get an estimated idea on whos on top of the game. Removing the organisation leaderboard does not really achieve curbing the competitive environment at all as it wasn't noticably any worse or better before the leaderboard was a thing, it just backed up bragging rights.

What you're aiming to achieve with this idea wouldn't really be achieved by this change in my opinion.

Honestly i havent been playing long enough to know if this was the case before but ill take your word for it, also its worth it to note that this wouldnt have to be a permanent decision its something that could be tried out and if it really is pointless it could be brought back

This whole post was a thought that popped into my head that could maybe be a step in the direction of making the server feel less pvp oriented.

The leaderboards creates an incentive for people to do these activities as well as keeps an active RP server as people compete to be at the top, removing this would not only annoy players but be entirely unproductive as it will fix absolutely nothing. The leaderboards existing is harmless and if anything there was still just as much action before it, which again I don't see how people playing the game as they wish is so much of a problem when you can create your own roleplaying incentives. You state it would "hopefully" solve the issue, which just also goes to show that not much thought has gone into this.

The raiding situation was x10 worse than what it is now with the org leaderboard. Olsen for example, same with ASDA. The org leaderboard just made it more visible and gives people something to work towards imo

This wont change anything, if people wanna raid and get kills, they will raid and get kills. People are prob more pissed off with the amount of as50's in the community (Sorry guys but was the best way for org xp originally)

If people didnt have so much money/nice cars then it would be v different, but that is partially because drugs became more profitable after the drug change and marksmanship got removed. You used to earn average 150k every 4 hours with old drug pots, and then had to spend millions getting max marksmanship

I absolutely agree with this idea. Organisations used to cultivate an organic reputation, either for toxicity, combat proficiency, fair and diverse commerce, etc. Now it's just... stealing and abandoning cars for XP, crafting lots of shit just to get on the leaderboard, and cooming over the numbers next to their org name. It's destroyed the idea of a casual, fun organization, and only made the toxicity worse, as people focus on having the most couches crafted or some shit, as opposed to being seen by players and earning a reputation properly.

I think things could be done to help organizations, and organization levels and perks should stay, as well as the bonuses and nerfs depending on organization size, but a public leaderboard just turns the game into a really hypercompetitive toxic environment. What would help organizations more would be having better and more varied perks, or perhaps specialised perks for different types of organizations, to encourage different organizations to work together and to their strengths.

More ways for orgs to be visible and advertise organically would be good too. Things like vehicles with image frames would be very nice to have. Imagine seeing a black vault-corp branded transit van parked at bazaar, or a dark red limo with little hoodrats flags on the front. I get that in particular may be difficult to impliment, but it would seriously help organizations help sell their brand.

This is happening whether there's an org leaderboard or not. The leaderboard that the new players don't know about isn't going to stop them from attacking people for xp on the leaderboard that they don't know exists, and people are still going to kill random newplayers that are attacking them whether they get xp for it or not.

Raids are important for the servers engagement as a large chunk of the playerbase enjoys the pvp, I see no reason to reduce the amount of raids seeing as so many people play at one time. You can take my opinion with a grain of salt if you want as I myself am a pvp player, but I do engage in roleplay quite often.

"- Genuinely would make the server more realistic if there were less raids."

Gmod is not realistic, the server does not aim to be realistic, it is for enjoyment.

get rid of a whole lot of toxicity and bans that come from this magical number in the f3 menu going up.

Realistically removing a leaderboard isn't stopping any of this.

If you disagree with anything I've said here please reply with a logical point to refute it.
