How am I able to get the content of a gun from such as like r6 or counter strike 2 so I can input it into perp

Go into your GMod folder click on addons then go to PERPheads addons (another folder in the addons) then put the skins inside of the folder of the gun

a simple search is all it takes

download gcfscape-->download CS Legacy in steam betas-->open GCFScape and navigate to the counterstrike file path-->open pak01_dir in the CS file path-->find the skin you want (not all of them are there or usable)

alternatively you can find lower quality textures of CS textures on this website https://stash.clash.gg/

yep, my tutorial is a rough estimate of the proces to follow and has some tips.

You can use https://github.com/ValveResourceFormat/ValveResourceFormat to extract content from CS2 and load up models and textures in any tool you need.
In regards to R6S, Ezza is right. You'll have to unwrap the UVs from the models and apply them to gmod VTFs

Nerdy answers! The best way to do it is search up the skin on google and download the png [with the watermark]. Then throw it in vtf edit [dont edit the png at all] and you have a cool awsome looking Ak or whatever u want!

I suspect there is a slight misunderstanding by how you formulated the following:
so I can input it into perp

The 3D models used in R6 and CS are not the same as the models we use on PERPHeads, which also means the UV map will be drastically different. What this means in layman's terms is that the areas of the textures that correspond to the 3D models will be very different, either in position, projection, or both. For a near exact 1:1 match, you'd have to get creative in recreating the art of the original. You could remake it entirely, "piece it together" from existing textures and plaster it over the textures we use, or the most easy way would be to use a stencil tool (Of course Blender can do this too).

I don't know anything about R6, but for CS, you can either get low quality versions of the textures from https://stash.clash.gg/ (formerly CSGOStash) like @Dave mentioned, or you can use a tool like "Source 2 Viewer" to view CS2's .vpk files and extract the relevant materials from there. They will look something like this:

You can use these textures to recreate them for our weapon textures

turns out i was wrong about cs2 textures, they are easy to get if you know how too. I made a guide on how to get both csgo and cs2 textures
