Description of the idea:
Make the photo frame item Similar to the TV, but for static image links.
The item as is essentially Looks more like a door mat than a photo frame. The ability to display images in it would make it far more useful in my opinion.
People could use them for display purposes or for putting up a business sign / gang logo outside their place of operations.
And yes, before you say it, I already know for a solid fucking fact that this could result in porn or other offensive material being displayed. Maybe it could be moderated so you can only post links from authenticated websites or on a server staff run database? A decent addition shouldn’t be thwarted by the off chance of entirely moderatable abuse imo
EDIT: All image urls should also be logged in SCAM to catch people misusing this feature.
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Makes sense
- Gives the item a use
- Limitless rule abiding possibilities
What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Would be easier to share highly offensive content.
- Coding.
- Could cause lag from rendering.
