Description of the idea:
Add “thermite” to PERP.
Thermite is a mixture of rust powder and a reactive metal (such as magnesium or boron) That when ignited, causes an incredibly powerful and difficult To control fire. Thermite is typically used (legally) as a quick / emergency welding agent on military vehicles. It is used illegally for arson against vehicles or as a guerilla weapon.
Uses for thermite should:
- Disable and ignite vehicles with a status bar similar to placing a car bomb.
- Igniting bodies and props without starting a spreadable fire.
- Detonating a bomb too maybe? (should be extremely risky and likely to kill you)
Perhaps for balancing purposes the thermite used to ignite vehicles should be a larger version of thermite?
Crafting recipes for thermite should be somewhere around:
- 2 pieces of metal
- 1 box of matches
- 5-10 bags of salt (to create the rust ofc)
A model for thermite could just be a hl2 medical vial (the same model used for ephedrine and other Meth ingredients) retextured into a dirty bottle saying “Thermite. Very hot”.
Why should this be added? (pros):
- More valid RP and more ways to deal with people who owe you money or upset you without risking Molotov collateral,meaning you could burn a body in a shop without the fire burning their props (@hotdog 6)
- Realistic
- More illegal items for people to sell on the black market
