Punishment Type: Warning
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Acerius
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Not Applicable

Your Steam Name: Gyarik
Your Roleplay Name: Gus Espinoza
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:179582349

Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User as a Courier was gunpointed at the door of an apartment that was about to be raided, so as to lull the occupants into a false sense of security. Rather than complying however, the user decided to walk away despite being held at gunpoint, which caused the prospective raider to be shot in the back when telling them to return to the door.

Why should this appeal be considered?: In the demo I've uploaded, from around 53:05 (tick 63719), you can see that I was going through the order as normal, noticing the raiders, to which I thought "oh well, they're gonna kill the guy".
One of the raiders told me to not snitch (which I complied, not sure why my voice isn't being recorded in the demo but I did not in fact snitch), and walked away after dropping the package (which I announced to the defender) to not get caught in the crossfire.
The raider then decided to follow me downstairs because apparently I "wasn't told to leave" (I wasn't told to stay in front of the door in the first place, unless I'm hard of hearing and they said that very quietly), and as you can see in the demo, I did stop the moment I was called out, and then I was literally just told to leave, which I did.

Additional Information: So... what gunpoint did I break? It seems a pretty reasonable reaction to not stay in the doorframe to avoid getting shot, specially when I'm an employee. I do have to ask, did the staff actually double check with whoever reported me (demos etc.) before actually giving a punishment? It seems like a rash decision to say the least. If you need a video because the demo doesn't work or whatever, I can record one.

I had seen your response to my forum DM yesterday, I wasn't able to respond and thought I would sleep on it and leave it for today. You've now disputed the warning, and upon review of your demo, I'm going to accept it myself.

The demo you've provided paints a very different picture of what you can hear and see compared to the raider's POV that was provided. No radio was audible in their clip, and that - combined with the fact that they were on whisper and speaking very quietly - means I genuinely don't think you actually heard them tell you to stay put, and that you only came to this realisation when they chased you down the stairs. Even then it was very hard to hear them in your demo, and at that point they changed their mind and told you to leave which you did.

I have also come to appreciate the argument more that you walking away was actually in the interests of your own life and did not inherently break 3.4. I usually am of the opinion that where you have a gun pointed at you, it's not reasonable to assume you can do whatever until given a specific order. In this instance however, it's clear that they just wanted to use you as a human shield, but you had actually fulfilled your role by placing the package and informing the occupants that they had a delivery so as to lull them into a false sense of security, so from your perspective walking away was a greater act of preservation then standing in front of the door.

As such I will remove your warning. With regards to what you wrote in additional information, I went off of a Medal clip that was provided by the raiders which at the time seemed to provide sufficient information. As already stated your demo showed the situation in a different light with regards to audio.
