During the second world war, the Calvé Peanut Butter factory in Delft was equipped with anti-aircraft weapons which they bought themselves to protect the factory. Employees could volunteer for the 'Voluntary Landstorm Corps Anti-Aircraft Service', to be trained by the Ministery of Defense as anti-aircraft gunners.
