I can't seem to find a topic that would be exciting to write about.

Social media use is a good and easy researchable topic. Another one you can possibly do is adolescents using drugs etc.

When in doubt always choose something like the impact of marine garbage on marine ecosystems/diversity there are plenty of articles that you can investigate through the use of rhetorical devices, and it is quite easy to get a decent score on. My SAT Essay prompt was on the impact of the plastic bag ban in California and if it actually helped the marine ecosystems that would be directly impacted. I got a near perfect score and this is probably one of the easiest topics you will be able to find.
