I would personally recommend a used lenovo legion 5 or 7 they are solid laptops that don't look too extreme/stupid only downside is the battery life is shockingly bad.
If its for perpheads i would look for one with a cpu that has a high clock speed rather than more cores.

Assuming your still in scotland theres a great range on FB Marketplace from Aberdeen right down to edinburgh after a quick glance, I'm certain there will be some more towards borders also.
I have a Gigabyte G5 KF that’s a couple months old that I’d let go for a decent price, it even comes with Crosshair X preinstalled

Unironically a Steam Deck. The specs are unbeatable for the price and I'm sure there are a lot on the used market.

My suggestions are Dell or Lenovo (Legion) laptops. You didn't give us any mad specifications or requirements so just look around for whatever GPU you like but just note that laptop/mobile GPUs are fucking expensive even for a 4060.
