My personal opinion. A honda izy 466sk.
Owning a Honda Izy 466SK is like having a loyal, hardworking pet in your garden.
It’s a medium sized beast, calm but determined. With its smooth starting Honda GCVx145 engine, it wakes up with a low growl and is always ready to roam your lawn. The self propelled rear wheels make it feel like it walks beside you, not just for you. It’s happiest when fed fresh unleaded and kept clean underneath.
Treat it well, sharpen its blade, clean its paws (wheels), and keep its belly (deck) free from clumps, and it will purr contentedly through even tall grass. Neglect it, and it will cough, sulk, or refuse to move.
I like to use alkylate fuel as a treat for the lawnmower kind of like giving it a spa day. It runs smoother, smells cleaner, and you can tell it appreciates the clean burn. I mostly run regular 98 for day to day mowing, but every now and then, I give it a tank of alkylate to keep things fresh and well behaved. Especially before winter storage it’s like tucking it in with a warm blanket.
Not needy, but loves a bit of care. A reliable companion.

I think cats are better cuddle buddies and dogs are better if you want a buddy to go on activities with you, both are lovely!
