Suggestion Title: Temporary removal for crafting Rifles/Snipers
Suggestion Description: A limited time occurrence where the ability to craft Rifles, and one shot to body snipers is removed to create scarcity
A lighter version would be the restriction of the amount of rifles/snipers being able to be crafted

This would likely require a reduction of TFU during this time, and a slight increase to specific SMGs prices to cover the economic side of things.

This is a huge shot in the dark and I don't expect it to be accepted as I think it will ruin the crime status quo which a lot of people say they dislike but they willingly participate in.

There are moments where I'm at city storage watching people pull out full military kits of weapons besides the body armor, and it's disheartening (I'm not innocent of this) When I load up on door supplies, medical supplies, tons of mags, and kitted out military rifle, it sucks the roleplay out of me.

Why should this be added?:
- At times it's very disheartening for new players to do home invasions on anyone other than other new players, and when the new player tag expires they're in for a world of hurt due to the weapon and money disparity.

- There would be actual meaning for the remaining rifles / snipers and they would be treasured like they would be in real life, instead of everyone running around with full battlefield 4 kits

- Fights will be incredibly different as the other weapons will be utilized more often

- The richer players will consume more amounts of money for the crazier guns making them opt for more reasonable ones

What negatives could this have?:
- It would likely ruin peoples raiding ability given they don't have military weapons
- It would hurt gameplay that specific people love, which is the competitive raiding

What problem would this suggestion solve?: It would solve the general lack of immersion that happens when you overhear 5 military rifles raid you or your neighbor and it sounds like Ukraine.

It would make raiding non-new players viable for new players

Yes I do, I'm already broke on guns and I'm sick of some no-life MiP member wall banging me cuz they heard my blood flow through my veins. So I don't think I'm in any need of no guns.

I think that's very fair, it would take a fair while before the most used rifles to actually dwindle anyways, but in full effect if rifles were low in volume you'd be getting wall-banged at a much more survivable rate

Not sure why we're taking a step forward only to take 10 steps back on the next.

What about people who have stockpiled these restricted guns? There will always be restricted weapons being cycled around until they're ultimately confiscated.

I'm not sure what kind of weapons you'd only want to see people use, you describe it as people pulling out rifles like military kits/Battefield 4 when these attachments are necessary to make the guns even work in the first place. Ever used a Famas with no rifle comp and no clear iron sight picture?
That's also all there is to it for attachments.

Instead we could just see a reduction in crafting prices for underutilized weapons and rifles. I never see anyone else use the SG552 besides me so it would be good to collect some info on the underdogs and see how they can get a boost in usage.

1. It is impossible to do anything about the restricted guns stockpiles, but over-time the numbers will go down, or the prices will get too high causing people to opt for cheaper alternatives. Military Rifles and Snipers should be a huge thing in a city, not just another commodity. Given enough time which can be arbitrary given how the developers feel about the game-state, this decision can be reversed with no downsides and a insane demand for rifles. I am going to edit my original post because I need to be explicitly clear that its ONLY crafting rifles/snipers you can still sell them.

2. You can use the attachments on the SMGs and pistols, It's hyperbole when I'm comparing it to Battlefield because It feels like I'm gearing up for a war not a home invasion. The thread is focused on the guns themselves not the attachments, just because its not accurate does not mean you can't hold down left click at a door for 30 rounds of high damage.

3. Making under-utilized guns cheaper really doesn't mean anything, and opting for compromise like that for rifles and snipers is against the philosophy of my suggestion.

How long should there be a restriction for? These numbers would take a very long time to go down.
It would be developer choice and would be based on statistics from the police department, general surveys from police.
In order to prevent hoarding in anticipation for something like this, the thread should be deleted and it should be silently put into the game

The idea of limitting it to a time is just horrendous, there will be a high high high influx of crafting orders to vaultcorp and other alternative crafters which is all good and fine, problem is, the queue is gonna be so long there's gonna be people waiting for days, maybe even weeks to just get ONE rifle or sniper, because people will order in massive bulks, this wont solve any problems at all, only create more.

And let's say theres a limited amount, the people with money will just order the entire amount allowed to be crafted, leaving everybody else with less money undefended and just screwed because they only have a Pee Pee shooter against the people who can afford to buy all the rifles and snipers the limit can bare. So there's gonna be ONE group with all the rifles and snipers.

It's fair that you disagree with the limitations being horrific, but the main idea of the suggestion is to out-right stop the crafting. I see in your bio thing that you like to play PD, how many rifles in a day do you think you collect as an officer or better yet a very rough estimate of how many rifles are collected in a entire day from the PD?
