Curious what others think about fleeing under gunpoint and in the specific case of an exception for being wanted for non violent crimes.

Drawing a firearm for a non violent crime is a use of force violation anyway

You won’t believe how many officers pull guns over non-violent crimes daily, including supervisors. Staff are heavily involved in protecting them from people fleeing gunpoint by punishing 3.4 which is good but if what you’re saying is true, then I think we may have an issue here because cops never face staff repercussions for pointing guns at non-violent escapees and at best will face barely a reprimand after a lengthy 2 week IA process.

It's unrealistic for somebody to flee and have the entirety of the PD chase them because they had failed to stop at a stop sign. It's a minor fine, I'm sure that the rest of the PD do not want to be constantly chasing after 120MPH+ vehicles because the suspects couldn't be bothered to pull over and sit in a 30 second traffic stop.

Non violent offenders can also be:

1) Reckless drivers / driving without due care
2) People with drugs on their person while pulled over for a traffic violation incumbent of a prison sentence
3) Burglars who are unarmed just sneaking in and out
4) Scammers who stole money / valuables and fled
5) Aiding and abetting by means of breaking prisoners out (Non-violent ones) or get away driving

Etc..

Simple solution to your points on these.

You shouldn't be recklessly driving and most officers that deal with reckless driving usually issue a ticket, depending on the severity.

If you're carrying drugs on you, the last thing you should be doing is breaking traffic laws as you're basically asking for it.

Burglars who are unarmed? Shouldn't be happening as that breaks 3.4

Aiding and abetting by means of breaking prisoners out, that would be classified a violate crime, you have aided and abetted a jail break.

i dont get why you cant just run from the police on foot and disobey their commands if you are under gunpoint while not being an active threat to life at all
like if you want to turn your jay walking ticket into a jail sentence go ahead and do it why do u have to be banned for it? its a players choice and staff shouldnt be involved unless they decide to go into a car chase cuz they r about to get a speeding ticket or shoot at cops cuz they suspect they r wanted (every zerg)

a lot of good roleplay can happen from police interactions and i'll use some real world examples like :

the guy who doesnt want to put his phone down in order to record the cops for his own safety
crazy naked guy that took on like 3 cops solo with his own fists
unarmed burglary happens everyday IRL i dont know why its against the rules XD (power growers ruin everything)

its a shame that some cops are miserable and report everything if an arrest doesnt go their way

from personal experience ive been banned for succesfully escaping from a cop in a mini cooper

There's a very simple answer why this isn't allowed:
Because the punishments for fleeing are too low to make you actually comply.

And because all of you think you are creating a unique RP situation by running from them, whilst we have enough of those who still do it even though it's not allowed.

We wouldn't need any rules if everybody could keep their actions somewhat realistic and moderate themselves. But guess what... everyone thinks they are original by doing these things.

just taze the shit out of them? And cops are already like twice as fast as normal people, but that never matters cus you never actually have to chase someone down

I think a lot of the issues with fleeing from minor crimes come from the fact that everyone has a fucking super duper mega ultra car and it's basically impossible to catch them in a standard police cruiser, which isn't enjoyable at all for the cops. Chasing cars that are like 120+ mph is not a fun experience.

sounds like an issue created by zergs and if u try to escape from cops in a slower car u get banned cuz "3.4 ur car isnt fast enough to escape and u know it"

call every IRL criminal unoriginal then
u r saying u dont want to do police job as a police officer how about not play cop then if u r gonna complain about ppl creating roleplay scenarios on a roleplay server
OBIVOUSLY I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT SCENARIOS CREATED BY ZERGERS WHO RUN AWAY IN SUPER CARS OR KOS POLICE
