I’m 17 and wanting to start getting my license to drive, but how much roughly does it cost to get your license.
lessons, theory and test etc

I spent under 1100€ in 2017 to get my drivers license and thankfully only needed to take my mandatory driving hours and ace'd my theory and practical (failing your theory or practical means you will have to pay the test and all the included fee's again like TÜV)

I asked a bunch of my nursing students who are currently also taking their drivers license and their projected costs are 2600€ all the way upwards of 3600€ depending on the city they live in (Düsseldorf is more expensive in general for example).

Depends what licence ur going for and where u are. 40-50 quid is average price for an hour now and average of hours is like 50 driving hours. Then it’s 26 quid i think for theory, idk google it. You should pass ur theory first time then it’s time for test whenever that is. 2 hours of driving time paid for, hour before the test and the test hour. Then the price for driving test 30/40 quid idk google it.
So from my calc maybe £2400? Thats for manual licence I’m going with.
I done 37 hours of lessons and passed my theory 1st time and practical test 2nd time.

yh i’m doin manual, automatics for pussys lmao, only valid reason u have an automatic is if you have a 4x4

mate tbh it actually would be cheaper to get my license in a different country and then like transfer it to a uk license it’s crazy
thats not how it works, ur on a provisional licence when u come to the uk too live here unless u got a European licence then u can drive legally

That's actually the worst reason to have an automatic.

I used to be an automatic hater, until i learned what traffic was. I swear by (a good!) automatic gearbox. I would not want to drive every day in a manual. Manuals are fun. Daily driving (to work) is not fun. I own both types

I grew up around cars so I didn't need a whole lot of lessons. I believe i only paid around 1100 euro's including my exam. I don't know what it's like in the UK in terms of costs but the average here is 3.600. I do believe the way you are taught in the UK is incredibly weird which explains why i hate UK drivers on our roads so much.

Don’t worry about the cost to drive, worry about your insurance.

I think a crash course was like £1000 to pass within a week
