Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @@headline
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 2 Weeks

Your Steam Name: ggtdawg47
Your Roleplay Name: Arthur Kenson
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:570636448

Why were you punished?: 2.5 - User used molotovs and gas cans during a situation where he wanted to kill other players resulting in him setting the entirety of Regals on fire.

Why should this appeal be considered?: Me and my fellow org member Pablo ensured that it was only regals 3 and 4 who were affected by the fires in which we started. The recordings prove all of this. Regals 3 and 4 both entered each others houses regularly and hung out near the stairs together. They also would talk about another player named Marcus in each others apartments. Both the residents of regals 3 and 4 were involved in the killing of my org member Pablo Culita, and also the attempted mugging of him in the regals parking lot. They had also raided my apartment and killed Pablo again for a second time, i witnessed all of these events in character. In the ban reason it said that it was the "entirety of regals" was on fire, that is clearly not the case. We verified all the residents before we bombed regals, all while keeping in mind the rules of NLR.

These are the reasons the bombing happened in the first place:

1. They were directly involved in hostile actions against us – These individuals were responsible for the murder of my org member, Pablo Culita, as well as an attempted mugging in the Regals parking lot in broad daylight with cops all around the area.

2. They further escalated by raiding my apartment – I personally witnessed them killing Pablo a second time during this raid, proving their repeated aggression toward us.

Our retaliation was not random or reckless:

1. Verification of Targets – Before executing our plan, we confirmed the identities of all residents of Regals 3 and 4. Our intentions were never to harm uninvolved individuals.

2. Awareness of NLR – We were fully mindful of NLR restrictions and measured our actions, ensuring they aligned with proper roleplay

3. Roleplay Consistency – The attacks were carried out as a retaliation of an in-character problem, not as a rule-breaking act of mass destruction.

Additional Information: Also, entering my steam id doesn't work very well on this page

Under review

How can you ‘ensure’ the fire would only affect Regals 3 and 4? Are you a wizard that can stop it spreading down to 1 & 2 or something?

The fact is that in my ban reason states that the whole building was on fire. That is a clear problem

Me and my fellow org member Pablo ensured that it was only regals 3 and 4 who were affected by the fires in which we started.
I have no idea how you would realistically ensure this without coating everything in fire retardents. Even then, give it a hot enough fire and some time and those areas would also be on fire as if you never tried to prevent it.

Fire rises
Smoke goes up and fire goes up. Or atleast in RP
Yes and no. Flames have a tendency to rise up a structure. Smoke on the other hand just goes whereever the hell it pleases; up, down, into your cupboard. That smoke is also hot, definitely above the flaming point of most furniture, so it give it some time in the staircase or other apartments and they will also be ablaze.

I also don't want to neglect the head radiation (think bonfire, you're not on fire, however standing 5 metres away you will still feel the heat. Go close enough for long enough and you'll eventually be on fire.) which would also very easily cause apartments below to be involved in the fire.

The fact is that in my ban reason states that the whole building was on fire. That is a clear problem
It isn't a problem, it's a fact. The majority of the interior staircase and several other apartments had to be extinguished.

Your aren't banned because your actions were deemed random. They are however very clearly very reckless. Rule 2.5 very clearly states: "For example, it is excessive to: Use explosives without ensuring that uninvolved players’ items are not damaged, or molotovs in raids.", which is just what you did. Even if no other players props or items were lost in this, the risk of that happening was very high.
