The updated help.perpheads.com guides are amazing too, just from a glance it looks like they updated most articles to coincide with the release and rooted out any lingering misinfo or old crusty images. Tedious work there, much appreciated to those editors.

Amazing to see paralake's still alive!
So for the map.. lighting is horrible it looks full bright 24/7, roads feel tight af, and theres some texture issues. However, i like the design of stuff and it feels absolutely gigantic. It is an improvement but v5 was visually better and easier to drive on. Gameplay wise tho i think the new map will be better and im glad we have it but i expect accidents to sky rocket due to the roads
With all the what reactions guess i gotta show a pic. look, this stuff looks full bright vs paralake. Almost no shadowing and everything looks fully illuminated. Thats my only serious complaint about the map tho.

I don't know what type of monitor you have or what its settings are, but color calibrating it might help. What you are using to view the map can make a massive difference. Especially playing around with the brightness, contrast, and gamma settings at either the monitor level or GPU level. I was worried it was going to be blinding too pre-release but it looks perfect during the day on my screen and even better at night:
Could just be simple opinion diff tho. It's a dub on my computer, especially for a Garry's Mod map.
