Hey everyone,

My Garry's Mod keep crashing when I play PerpHeads, I've had this since I have my new pc and it's driving me nuts.
I did the Verify integrity of game files, x64, -dxlevel 90 and -novid startoptions, and even tried reinstalling Garry's Mod but nothing seems to help.
My entire pc restarted out of a nowhere twice!

I am turning desperate and even ChatGPT doesn't know :(

Don't know if it matters but here are my specs:
RTX 5060 Ti
Corsair DDR5 2x16gb ram
4tb m.2 ssd
Intel i5 14600KF processor

Help me please

Solution
Unsubscribe from all workshop addons and run the Factoryreset.bat in the Garry's Mod directory [...]steamapps\common\GarrysMod\FactoryReset-GMod.bat
Also disable Steam cloud for Garry's Mod so it doesn't redownload some botched .cfg file (right click>properties), make sure you also manually delete your addons folder, downloads, download and cfg folder.
We just need to see if you can start the game and get into the server after doing a full wipe.

To make sure that everything resets (including key binds and other options made through .cfg's) you can run Garry's Mod once with these launch options
-novid -autoconfig -default +host_writeconfig config.cfg full +mat_savechanges +quit
Once you have done that you can delete these launch...
If your PC restarted this sounds like you're having a hardware issue. Check your system logs.
Logs say I have error code 0xc0000409
Faulting-toepassingspad: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin\win64\gmod.exe
Faulting-modulepad: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\garrysmod\bin\win64\engine.dll

Some words are in Dutch but I don't know the english names for these errors

Once you have done that you can delete these launch options. Verifying game files after all these steps also doesn't hurt.

If the game starts normally you can subscribe to the workshop content and try to join from there. Make sure the game is actually in 64 Bit, you can check this in Task Manager and look up the currently running Garry's Mod process. If it doesn't say (32-bit) then you're good.

Report back and we'll go from there.

How it looks like now, you've solved my problem! Thank you so much!
