Hey everyone,
I've been having some trouble with Garry's Mod lately and I'm hoping someone here might have some insights or solutions. Here's what's been happening:
I initially thought this might be a thermal issue. After cleaning out some dust from my fans, my CPU temperatures are now within normal limits, hovering around 60-70°C. Despite this, I still encounter the classic Source engine freeze after playing for a short while. The game becomes unresponsive, and waiting it out doesn't seem to help.
My PC isn't a gaming beast by any means, but it should be able to run Garry's Mod without issues. I have an Intel Core i7-1225U processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and Intel Iris Xe Integrated Graphics.
I've reduced my subscriptions to only include PERP addons, ensuring no missing textures or conflicts. Graphics settings are set to modest levels, with only the model detail on high.
Has anyone else faced similar issues with this setup or perhaps with similar hardware? Any advice or additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any help!
