Role play on this server

If you sit inside your base power growing or you spend your day playing cop / medic all you are going to see are the raids and shootouts. Plenty of the people in PVP orientated orgs roleplay much more than you think but you see the org name and decide we hate roleplay and only want a shootout which just isn't true, I recently have been going out of my way to avoid shootouts and instead trying to talk situations out but most of the time that leads to people acting weird and trying to bait pvp or using their preconceived idea of people in the org to power game their way into getting some sort of win over us.

Ultimately It's not one groups fault there isn't roleplay its just how the server is right now and I don't see it changing any time soon because of how everyone acts and behaves on the server.

i've said my piece about RP on the server in other threads plenty of times so i won't bog this thread down, but i WILL comment on this.
quite frankly if someone thinks roleplaying is cringe or boring they shouldn't be playing on a roleplay server then should they? if someone thinks RP is cringe and wants to do nothing but PVP fiend they should probably go play CS, battlefield, tarkov, CoD, etc instead

course this is just a hypothetical individual i doubt there's many people on perp that would go out of their way to say that RP is boring or cringe

A1L - Last seen in caretakers, a crafting org ( Chief of PLPD so perhaps also plays cop I don’t know just a guess :D )
Aquaa - Narcos ( Org hasn’t been active since the beginning of v6 )
Oddy - Hoodrats ( Only person from the current admin team who is in a top 2+ org, fairly sure he plays more cop anyways )
Scoot - Mainly does passive stuff
ellie - Does mostly staff stuff on the server nowadays
Megasaw - Officegang, does mostly staff stuff and PD currently
Mini - Mostly staff related stuff as well
Chase - Narcos, does mostly staff stuff
Tilin - PD main
Marine Putin - Narcos
Bnje - Not sure if Benji is in an org rn, but does mainly staff stuff or pd stuff as well
Creepis - MiP, plays more PD and FD than crim usually
Galle - Paralake Ballas, also plays a lot more PD
Scrabuz - Normally plays PD or is doing staff related stuff
Wescott - Hoodrats, usually plays more PD
Matthew - Paralake Ballas
Medium - MiP ( Only staff member so far that would fit your criteria )
curak - Plays mostly PD
exrobite - Normally plays PD or minge simulator
HuskyDOG - Normally plays PD or staff related stuff
Lhealey - Hoodrats, normally plays PD
Daan - Normally does Crim or civ stuff along with staff related, not in any top 10 orgs
mocho - Caretakers? Usually does more passive stuff or crim
phoondos - Narcos ( Usually bases and does staff related stuff )
SadBoy - Paralake Ballas? ( Usually does more PD stuff afaik )
Sean - Hoodrats ( Might fit in your criteria ig although he also plays PD )
sidd - Hoodrats ( Plays a fair share of both PD and crim ) Might also fit in your criteria
sza - MiP ( Plays a lot of both PD and crim ) Might fit your criteria
Vollgas - Plays mostly PD
monk - I’m sorry my dear kitten I have forgotten you ( Washed crim resorted to playing PD as of late )

So, out of 30 staff members presented to you, only 4 actually do a lot of crim stuff in one of the top 3 orgs. Out of these 30, 10 are members of top 10 orgs not including Narcos as the org has been inactive for a bit of time now.
I could also include the Dev and Helper team but it would only lessen your argument even more.

Whenever you’re ready to explain how the 4 staff members that are mostly active in these Zerg orgs affect your role play lmk. Perhaps if you look at your ban history you’d understand how not having an understanding of the rules might be more of an issue.

To have a server with the roleplay you imagine, you'd need to have a lot more restrictive rules than there are now. Personally I just don't think that would work out. I mean just imagine how much time is/was spent already on enforcing rules. On top of that you would have to remove certain elements off the game that would kill the appeal for a lot of players

And about zergs, they make sense when you look at it from the players side. Doing practically any criminal activity by yourself or even in a small group that doesn't involve camping muggable areas is impossible to do without getting swarmed by cops. You used to be able to do a decent amount of stuff by yourself but it changed idk when or how. Zergs could've easily been nerfed to the ground already but they haven't, that alone should give away the why. We as players can't do anything about them though they're already frowned upon by the devs/owners

But like said before, some people are going to play the game as a powergrinding simulator, some purely for roleplay. You can't control how someone is going to play the game unless you get rid of them. Instead of constantly policing RP and pointing fingers to one party, I think the focus should be on changing the gamemode in a way where it doesn't require the heavy rules and where there's room for the roleplayers and pvpers, which is easier said than done but in my opinion that's the best way to tackle the things mentioned.

So your complaining about staff being in ORGs gg just because no good ORG what’s you in it because your very annoying and toxic doesn’t mean staff abuse there powers I think you just don’t understand how easy it acc is to follow basic rules

i think police really likes fighting against will docker, greggory skittle and brian heros team cuz we never use rifles and lose most of the time but the second we win at least one of us gets banned.....

Yesterday I intended on having a chase with police where everyone had fun.

i had RTU Porsche, Cadillac SGT, Charger, Crown Victoria, Officers set up with spike strips, Under cover unit and even the medic got involved to keep eyes.

Server pop was around 30, all you can see tumble weeds when it’s dead at those hours. Despite what the rules may say, the result was that every cop involved enjoyed it and multiple personally told me it was fun.

Let alone the extra effort of being in character as a Cowboy with a southern accent.

Unfortunately, this did not end well.

Due to me purposefully slowing down for cops to catch up when they were in a non-RTU Cadillac and one time where I got out to emote / taunt them, I was confronted by an admin.

Yes the chase lasted around 30 minutes and I would not have been caught had I not constantly kept checking in with OOC to ask if I should stop or if everyone is having fun still then trying to make dialogue by having Dusty saying lines to Police.

I understand the rules are firm but it’s very demotivating and feels very counter-intuitive to the fun of the server when rules are held to such a strict degree under these circumstances against such conduct where a severe ban is dished out for things like “cop baiting,” against what was clearly succeeded attempt at a fun chase which everyone enjoyed. It was harmless, no one died or lost anything of value.

I mean what you gonna' do when it literally says ''SERIOUS RP'' in server browser and then there is apparently very little to nothing going on.

Personally I think that the reason the SERIOUS RP tag stays is because its good at drawing in players. Then again its not the servers fault, it just seems like the majority that want RP have been paralyzed somehow into not doing any RP. Not trying to set things in motion, change takes time!

you didnt cop bait cuz we had a physical altercation which you won CUZ U 2V1ED ME
just proves my point that you only get banned if you win against the cops if you had been caught way earlier youd be good XD
