Garry's mod is not starting.

Hi,

When i start my gmod it ''launched'' it says on steam im playing Garry's Mod and then it just closes down without any messages etc. Does anyone know how to fix this?

it might open on a different desktop window so you might be able to alt tab into it

It may appear as HL2 in task manager but with the Garrys mod logo

Verify integrity of the game, restart your PC, etc. If none works try re-installing the game. Happened to me a while ago, just don't remember how I fixed it.

I’m having the same issue

deleted Garry’s mod folder in my steam location, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my computer and verified integrity of the game. And it still doesn’t open when I click play. Can anyone assist ?

Right click on the game in steam and select "manage > "browse files". Then look for "gmod.exe" and try running that.
