Suggestion Description:
The SLR is a exremely overpowered vehicle right now, it has better handling and acceleration than all the other supercars and the functional top speed is not low enough to make up for it. It is faster than all the other cars, including the ones that cost over 4mil like the Bugattis or McLarens and with upgrades it can even go head to head with a 20mil Mazda Furai.

In the Racing events my org is hosting, the SLR has scored 70% of all points given out this season.

The SLR could be 5-10mph slower in top speed and STILL be the best car.

Why should this be added?:
- It's OP

What negatives could this have?:
- people who buy one complain

What problem would this suggestion solve?:
SLR being too op

skyline r34 is a good car and compete with slr but hey! the race is depends on ping and whoever has a good handling and fast car
nerfing cars are stupid the land rover defender has gotten nerfed so badly to the point that some people sell it cuz its pointless to keep it

Wtf are these replies.

He isn’t upset that the SLR is winning the racing events, the result itself doesn’t really matter. What he is doing, is using data from the racing event, which acts as a controlled environment, to highlight something he’s been noticing for a while: the SLR is consistently outperforming everything else in its class by a pretty huge margin.

The races are nothing more than data points here. When you put multiple cars from (roughly) the same tier into the same conditions and one of them repeatedly pulls ahead that strongly, it becomes a lot more obvious that there might be a balance issue, as pointed out in the main post.

TL;DR
The point isn’t “make the SLR win less in these races.”
The point is: these races made it very clear just how far ahead the SLR is compared to the rest of its class (and even compared to above its class), which is why he’s calling for a nerf.

I don't think the whole argument here is fair. I used to race with the P1 in the very beginning and the car was arguably better than the SLR (in my opinion), the only reason I chose against it was due to it's very weak bump absortions.

The best way to really settle this debate would be for someone with actual driving skills to benchmark a good even track and post the results.

The only reason this is really a point right now, is because everyone at the top is currently using the SLR so the rest will follow.
I'll make a tiny benchmark on a couple of Supers and post it for comparision.

I believe a big part of it is that most racers have double upgraded their SLR's. When I ask racers with different cars if their car is double upgraded I basically get a "no" every time.

Edit: All good racers uses the SLR, and a lot of the worse ones, ofc its gonna win a lot.

I don't want to take away from anybodys skill or achievements, but the truth is other were forced to buy SLRs because how much better they were and then they had to buy double upgrades so they don't just get overtaken like this:

The upgrades on the SLRs are also stupid strong, makes the car almost as good as a Mazda Furai, which costs 20mil to buy and 160k to tier. Other cars barely make a difference when upgraded or they even lose driveablity.

In all fairness, walnash completely missed the corner there giving me the inside.
