The state of PD

I suggest addressing these issues with the chiefs rather than posting them to the entire forums. That way, you can also provide proof and the names of supervisors who are actively ignoring their duties.

ORs are already monitored on a monthly basis, and supervisors are being demoted for failing to reach the requirements.

Gather the evidence and follow the system that’s already in place instead of making yet another “PD BAD” post.
Start off by demoting this curak guy fuckin shit supervisor he is lmao

It geets quite annoying when people constantly asks for supervisors, I do not really think the fault only lies with SGT+ ect I think alot of the time it is the peoples fault requesting supervisors upon the slightest inconvenience. Splitting resources should be done yes however people do tend to forget that second opinions are a great tool when it comes to making the right decision, keep in mind getting the rank of SGT does not automatically mean that you know everything. Sure there is SGT+ that might not do as much as the rest as of which you should bring it up to their superiors rather than complaining on the forums.

Supervisor sits can take a considerable amount of time more so if it is a possible disciplinary action involved, don't get me started on suspension which is one of the more notable areas a second opinion would be vital.

Once you have gone back and fourth for atleast an hour dealing with supervisor sits I do not feel like spending another 40 minutes on an OR, if an officer wants guidance on how to improve I would not mind patrolling with them. Arguably people do tend to forget that supervisors do a bit more than just supervisor sits and ORs especially if you are some sort of trainer such as TFTO. A lot of the time I get on I would like to go respond to raids, shoot people and relax.

While I agree the radio can be very chaotic and I agree that people should not mute the radio if they aren't busy I do understand why they do. Responding to a call for backup when the call looks like this "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM GETTING SHOT AAAAA help" it doesn't give a lot of information, if people start with calming down and give a call out such as "help I'm getting shot at, Slums parking" without the sensless screaming it would help.

Giving out suggestions is never a bad thing, making a complaint or telling someone that an officer should act better is also a "good" way to help said officer improve whether it be a probationary officer or stinky A1L himself. Making a post complaining about SGT+ is probably not the best idea.

Look man I 100% understand and I 100% agree, that's why I am trying to make it clear I completely understand the frustration and the burnout. I've dealt with my fair share of supervisor sits as Sergeant too and well aware of how stupid some of them get, so I completely understand what you're saying. And I wasn't trying to indicate that it's only Supervisors fault, cause it IS used as a weapon and it IS used to waste time too.

However in this case I was mentioning, this includes TFU Command aswell(Which absolutely should understand where they are required more, when an officers life alert has been set off, and there's officers constantly asking for assistance cause they are being lit up, that is where TFU should hold their priority as there's active life being put in danger, and LEO life even).

Supervisor sits can take a considerable amount of time more so if it is a possible disciplinary action involved, don't get me started on suspension which is one of the more notable areas a second opinion would be vital.
I get second opinions, and I am not super judging it but it's beginning to be so common that there is 3-4 supervisors in these sits, and I have BEEN in a couple of them, in most of these sits the supervisors are just there cause they are curious NOT because they are actually giving any input, they are just there because they wanna see what's going on, and stays until the end.

I do not feel like spending another 40 minutes on an OR
Again, this post isn't so much about the OR's.

Responding to a call for backup when the call looks like this "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM GETTING SHOT AAAAA help"
For sure, and that's also why I addressed this happens also when there is nothing over the radio, but the problem command is often part of the clutter in communication, not specifically the screaming over the radio that they are getting shot, however EVEN THEY(Because we are human) tend to clutter communication with useless info, chatter, or just failure to communicate properly, and talking over people when not necessary, having 4 people talking at the same time.

But with that being said, I completely understand wanting to mute when the radio is chaotic who wouldn't, it's hell.

Making a post complaining about SGT+ is probably not the best idea.
This isn't about Sergeant+ particularily, but I don't believe in making constantly individual reports and complaints about specific members all the time. They aren't gonna improve if all the get is punished and yelled at, a post is better to realise what's going on and fix issues instead of just removing everybody, and then find another replacement who will be just as problematic or worse in hopes they will do better. The reason I'm including Supervisors AKA Sgt+ is because they are who you expect to be better than a normal officer in most cases. I'm not talking about blame, I'm just talking about improvement.

This was from your supervisor sit btw
It sure was, and as I also mentioned in the very post itself, that supervisors did infact respond, however took long time for supervisors to respond. And before you state "They were busy" there was quite a few moments where they weren't, but thank you :).

Doing ORs is cancer. Maybe make them less of a pain, because now that I've got command, I'm legit never doing one again. I've already got too much other stuff to deal with to spend ages doing ORs. I don't mind putting a good word on your CPL or SGT, but fuck ORs.
I did command work for a while. It’s not hard to manage work and ORs if you don’t want the work then resign simple as that. That’s just pure laziness and you know it bro

Gonna be as brief as I possibly can here.

Supervisor Laziness
The PD has for a long while had issues with when people reaches certain ranks, they get requirements such as being required to write 2 ORs a month when you're a Corporal or a Sergeant which honestly is NOT a lot to ask for, I understand if you have a job, and even being staff it can be hard to reach the deadlines but it's 40 minutes a month is all they ask ATLEAST. A lot of supervisors DO get on, but can't be bothered to do their OR's and then they are seen asking for people to take OR's from them ONLY at the very end of the month because they didn't feel like wanting to reach their deadline.
It is significantly more enjoyable, functional and fair that the 2 OR a month requirement be the sole requirement to maintaining your rank rather than enforcing an arbitrary, meaningless activity requirement. As for the ORs and how they aren’t being done, patrol command are on top of that Issue and deal with those who fit that criteria rather consistently.

Supervisor Requests
I think something we are all aware off here and now is supervisor requests being used as a weapon, which has created a burnout for officers to bother doing supervisor sits, but this also becomes problematic especially when there are genuine extremely concerning reports to deal with, which needs to be sorted out urgently. Only a few days ago, somebody made a 911 call about an officer making extremely inappropriate remarks to a 12 year old kid. No supervisor cares or even paid attention to these calls, I took to the incident where the officer immediately fled and the people luckily had the evidence.
Supervisor situations being known as a weaponised waste of time is an earned title. I tend to be able to speedrun them nowadays after all these years of supervising, a skill many will come to learn in due time. Unfortunately an officer making remarks to a 12 year old kid is far beyond a supervisor situation and the appropriate Avenue for that would be staff.

Supervisors aren’t real staff members beyond having a slight bridge into like 1 SCAM function, and you cannot rely on a Supervisor to deal with stuff that like proportionately or take it as seriously as it should be. Pursuing that avenue just forces someone to attempt an RP situation with them, and if someone is actually accosting a literal child, this is exactly the last thing we want someone like that to be doing. A supervisors job in that regard would be to remove someone from the officer job temporarily for in game misconduct that is contrary to policy, not rules, there is absolutely nothing a supervisor can do to stop someone from doing what that guy had done, they can only stop them doing it on duty.

Today I was dealing with a suspect, and I was met with another officer trolling around. When the suspect stepped into my car the officer trolling didn't like that and actually started SHOOTING at my car(Keep in mind I was on duty as a cop literally myself), so I responded by stepping out of my car and shooting back at him, as he shot directly at me inside the car. The SUPERVISORS Including one of them being an LT, decided to actually judge me, and told me I was in the wrong, for shooting back at the officer. It's been so mainstream that now you should wait to see if an OFFICER who JUST shot at you, actually intend to shoot you in the face aswell before you can shoot back. Excuse me what? Now no punishment was given to me personally, but the fact supervisors actually expect you to do NOTHING is absolutely outrageous and ridicouless.
This sounds like a personal problem experienced from supervisors having to deal with a problem that rarely even happens to begin with. If you received no punishment or consequences for doing it, there’s no harm in them expressing a personal objection to what you had done in response and cosmically out of the two of you, you must have been deemed the one that was the most in the right.

Now, as for the last two points (as well as the same point often highlighted in this thread and similar ones) which just rely on Officer conduct which won’t be quoted as I don’t want to stretch this post out with the quote marks:

Complaints about how officers play the role, such as their communication and resource allocation is not a problem anyone but the people doing it can truly fix. often times these complaints are a case of severe, other oriented perfectionism; any expectation of perfect or near perfect conduct en masse by all officers online at one single time is a very unrealistic expectation. They’re people playing a video game at the end of the day with no formal training, and given that’s all the cop role is, people en masse do a pretty good job at it.

As this gets bought up a lot and compared to the oldhead days of a fully whitelisted pd where Officer was gated behind a practical assessment on the academy server, back when people would get demoted for simply not meeting the standards of communication and general skill, this was arguably a worse way of running things. And the worst part? This was still a genuine problem back then even.

Sure, it’d be nice to have people take the role Uber seriously and know everything about it and how to act on it off the bat, but the only way we can achieve this is to gatekeep it from people who can’t meet an arbitrary and disproportionate standard set by some old heads and force them to prove to us that they can meet such a standard, and we all know how that went last time. Sorry to say, but the consequences of formalising the PD and enforcing that every officer be perfect right down to how they tie their shoes isn’t a feasible idea unless we disregard entirely the playerbases right to all experience police roles with as little restriction or real commitment as possible. We can’t have the crayons and eat them at the same time.

The majority of players aren’t repeat offenders of these quality issues bought up, there’s always gonna be new players on the role. They learn not to do these things that make them bad officers in due time, and another John Doe cop takes their place as the one doing it. It’s just not a problem any of us can fix I’m afraid.

I did command work for a while. It’s not hard to manage work and ORs if you don’t want the work then resign simple as that. That’s just pure laziness and you know it bro
He is not obligated to do observation reports as a command member. As a command member he is assigned a role, most command members are working a specific role, which only one or two other people are working on. This is far less dispensable than doing an OR, which a good fraction of the PD can give. It would be arbitrary and unfair to throw an additional amount of work atop of their obligations.
