The state of PD

If a Sergeant is failing to carry out their duties appropriately, there are already procedures that anybody can report to get it dealt with, concerns regarding misconduct or negligence should always be reported through the appropriate channels.

I don't believe supervisors situations are used as a 'weapon', they are an established part of PLPD policy. Any officer or civilian is more than entitled to request a supervisor and that is for the supervisor to deem whether they believe their duties as a supervisor requested are necessary, or not. The existence of supervisor requests do not automatically indicate system misuse.

Observation Reports are not a concern whatsoever. Corporals and Sergeants fall under our management as Patrol Command members, in which I can only assure everybody that not only do we monitor their required number of monthly Observation Reports, we also quality check Observation Reports posted. Even if we notice any wrongdoings such as a wrong score on an Observation Report, we will always contact the supervisor in question to correct this, and explain to them why these scores are important. I can also assure anybody that those failing to meet their monthly quotas for OR's without valid justification are always addressed internally and receive disciplinary action.

To summarise, although these threads may raise worthy concerns, they rarely provide actual solutions... In all honesty, these threads are just getting boring as it's the same thing repeatedly on a cycle, ranting without providing any sort of feedback or suggestions for improvement.

I did command work for a while. It’s not hard to manage work and ORs if you don’t want the work then resign simple as that. That’s just pure laziness and you know it bro
Patrol Command is known for having the least amount of work, btw. Also, you deal with promotions, so it makes sense that you should be the ones doing ORs.

But it's still a lot less than the other divisions
Sounds like a case of biting off more than you can chew. You should be leading by example Lt. I understand it’s not required to do ORs as command (even though it should) but if we want people to do the ORs it looks a lot better that our PD COMMAND MEMBERS do them instead of going on the forums saying “I’m never doing one again” it’s a bad look.

Thats why you have patrol to do them?

Respectfully theres other places to rant it would be sick if you gave actual solutions like yeah bro this is the 50th post we've seen with the same repeated complaints why not use one of them.

TLDR to not waste time; 50th complaint rant post with no solution or reasonable answer just complaining to complain (respectfully)
where is my OR :spiderman:
