He wanted to design a suit that could be used as a parachute for pilots, in the early days of human plane travel. After testing the suit on a number of dummies, Reichelt jumped off the lower level of the Eiffel Tower.
There are approximately 20 quadrillion ants currently crawling on Earth, a staggering global census calculated by researchers at the University of Hong Kong in a 2022 study, which means there are roughly 2.5 million ants for every single human being on the planet.
Water can boil and freeze at the exact same time, a thermodynamic state confirmed by the University of California, Santa Cruz to be known as the "triple point," which occurs when temperature and pressure hit precisely the right balance for all three states of matter to exist simultaneously.

The 36-letter word was first used by the Roman poet Horace in the first century BCE to criticise those writers with an unreasonable penchant for long words. It was American poet Aimee Nezheukumatathil, possibly afraid of their own surname, who coined the term as we know it in 2000.
