Why should this player be punished?: The user attempted to flee from police after being informed that he was under arrest for reckless driving. Despite clear verbal instructions to remain compliant, the user chose to escalate the situation by attempting to evade arrest.

Additionally, the user failed to comply while under an immediate lethal threat. An officer had a firearm drawn and positioned next to the vehicle, yet the user proceeded to make movements consistent with attempting to flee, disregarding the clear danger and instructions given.

from my pov, i didn’t see a single gun pointed at me, you also didn’t really point your gun correctly until the end, as i was then stationary and your gun was no longer in passive. a simple switch to your taser would have been the correct thing to do in this situation

Drawing a lethal weapon constitutes a lawful show of force under the Handbook and is permitted for the purpose of apprehending suspects and ensuring compliance. Despite this, you attempted to flee over a traffic-related offense after being informed you were under arrest.

Your actions unnecessarily escalated the situation and had the potential to place others at risk. By attempting to escape, you involved the driver of the McLaren in your actions, potentially endangering their life and safety. Had the escape attempt succeeded or gone wrong, it could have resulted in serious injury or death, all to avoid a potential 4 year sentence.

You notifying this person of their arrest for recklessly driving and wanting to process them with prison time for doing so, fleeing is generally fine and allowed, as the risk for an additional 1-2 years or so is worth risking for no jail time at all, which is reasonable. When the user was notified regarding you having a weapon and pointing it towards them, knowing their chances of escape are limited, they then resulted in putting their hands up to go into your custody.

Although, I do think next time, despite not seeing the weapon directly, when an officer commands you to place your hands up and that they have a lethal weapon behind you, you should use your intuition and place your hands up, not attempt to flee further.
