Why should this player be punished?: I was being pulled over and told to step outside of the vehicle, (I had a warrant at the time) where Jay Wood gunpointed Matt Vista this is where Matt ran off and shot Jay while under gunpoint leading to 3.4

My Defense on the situation: It happened so quickly and so fast that I was primarily so tunnel visioned on him I never saw the gun at first. I was never expecting to get shot and killed on a normal traffic stop which would have ended in a light ticket at most and since he only said stop right there and not stop or ill shot I was really confused at first by the time I got my gun and turned and saw the gun I knew that he would probably kill me for me pulling my gun out so I did the only thing I knew to value my life in that moment and shoot.

Look I get it, it looks really bad even on my end looking back since it looks like I jump away from him which is fair from the prespective but I'd just like to say it was a genuine mistake that happned quickly and I deeply apologize to him and his friends for that. I haven't been reported for over a year trying to stay out of trouble so this is something that will never happen again and I should be a lot more aware of my surroundings especially to save my life

@Matt Vista, as the officer handling the situation we believe you could have done much more to secure yourself here and ensure that the people involved weren't going to pull guns on you. By failing to make everyone involved surrender, you put yourself in a position to get countered by the people you were dealing with.

As it is very clear in the evidence from both POVs here, you saw the firearm point your way. You should have stopped and complied instead of running off.
