Brief description of idea:
Make patrol / RTU training sessions count towards your activity requirements (as attendee's) , alongside this, make all training ranks time on the academy / training server count towards your activity requirement.

This should be the case for the following reasons:
- You are acting as PLPD Personnel when hosting or assisting in hosting these sessions.
- Patrol trainers, RTU Trainers and TFTO's are taking there personal time to host these sessions.

What benefits would this idea have for the department:
- Busy trainers won't get activity warnings! :)

What potential negatives could this have for the department:
- We'd have to not include event times as that technically isn't police activity.

Other additions:
N/A

And how would this work? Technically speaking.

Every 10 minutes we store your played time on each job, at the beginning of each month we run a query to gather all police related activity from past month.

So you're saying its technically possible? That information is already recorded?

I don't know IT's coding, but considering that an officer's playtime is counted on the PLPD profiles, can you also make the code add the time from the training server and make it count? Or make it its own text under the Officer/TFU counter?

Anything is possible, but the data pulled from the training server cannot be considered accurate. You can very easily go on and stand AFK to get your hours up.

@Samuel Any way to restrict accessing the academy server without a command member or some event going on?

Also, considering this thread, wouldn't having hours on academy server without the training event being logged look fishy on a profile?

Another idea, maybe display academy hours separately from "Hours as Officer" like how we do with TFU?

@zXDroNEXz There are ways to restrict the server, such as command receiving a temp password when they need it. We already have server code that can do that.

There is no way to see what time during a day a specific person have been a cop. We only store date, and amount of minutes during that day.

Any change like this would require code change from PLPD Online. And I don't really have that time. Maybe a better idea is to move some of these sessions ot the real server?

@Samuel That's good to hear, a nice deterrent, but why don't we start using it?

Reasonable.

I'll do it, what's the language/code PLPD uses? Also, as Patrol Trainer, I've been meaning to give Dai this idea of doing some training on the server, but it seems like I will have to forward it to @GamingPeach. Also, it's much more difficult to train 12 players with other cops already on, caps, etcetera.
