Main Idea: Add the unused Rifle Carry Handle attachment as a craftable attachment

Full description of the idea: In PERP's files, there is currently an unused attachment labelled rifle_carryhandle which, as the name implies, is a carry handle that uses the same model as the M4A1 and M16A2 iron sights before the Attachments update changed the iron sights to what it is currently. The idea is that the Rifle Carry Handle could be added into the game as a craftable attachment which would contain its own set of features; that being:

- Allows dropped weapons with the carry handle attachment equipped to be picked up 25-30% faster
- Weapons with the carry handle attachment equipped can be switched to 10-15% faster

Why should it be added?: The Rifle Carry Handle would benefit users in shootouts in the aspect that if the user has to switch from, for example, their fists to their gun, they would be able to do so more quickly which could provide a benefit of being able to respond to a threat to their lives more quickly than without the attachment - which in some scenarios could mean either life or death for the user; the same scenario would apply for when picking up the gun from the ground. Furthermore, as criminals who win raids attempt to save and store as many guns as possible from the raid, the carry handle could allow this process to be sped up more quickly as the reduced time to equip the weapon (assuming that it has a carry handle on it) will allow the gun to be transported to a car and stored more quickly and therefore, there would be greater reward for raids if more guns can be acquired successfully.

Pros:
  • Adds nostalgia appeal to those who liked the design of the M4A1 and M16A2 iron sights prior to the Attachments update.
  • Offers another choice of iron sights for the M4A1/M16A2.
  • Allows people who are involved with gunfights to switch between weapons more quickly.
  • Dropped weapons that have the attachment on can be picked up and transported more easily - increasing the chances of raiders successfully obtaining weapons and greater reward.
Cons:
  • The carry handle would take up the attachment slot of rifle sights such as the red dot sight, etc. therefore, it could be perceived as an attachment that replaces the default iron sights with another set of iron sights.
  • The attachment's model, specifically the iron sights, may need updating as it is the same model used in the old M4A1/M16A2 and the iron sights look more low-poly when compared to the current iron sights on these guns. Thus, the attachment's design may be unappealing to some unless the model is updated.
  • Can be perceived as an unnecessary attachment being as the time to equip and pick up guns already doesn't take too long. Furthermore, the attachment would only be available for the M4A1 and M16A2 - meaning other guns would not benefit from the perks the carry handle brings.

I like it, its a sight better for longer ranged engagements.
itll end up exactly why no one used the m16 compared to the m4 before the weapons update. using that instead of a sight is fucking aids and useless

I mean it'll make an M4 look alot nicer on the shelf when selling it.
