Cyma G36C as my first airsoft gun (The CM011, about £129) Yay or nay?

Play first, then worry about buying gear. Just make sure you bring food, plenty to drink, gloves and actually cooperate with your team. If you don't help you'll just become cannon fodder like almost all rentals.

Unfortunately there is nowhere good to play near me

I used to play but lost interest because there are no good fields near me and most of my friends stopped too :/

I used to do airsoft but the site I did it at was a bit expensive and just lost interest in the winter thinking about starting again
