Description of the idea:
Adding "Conversion kits" to certain, underused firearms that would benefit from it.
In order to craft a converted firearm, you will need the firearm itself, alongside a small amount of raw materials and a work bench. The firearm can be crafted back into its original state via the same method though.
In particular, I'm referring specifically to the following firearm:
Sig SG550:
The Sig 550 should have the ability to be "Recrafted" into a 7.62x39mm (AK47 Ammo) Firearm. The Sig 550 is / was also manufactured in 7.62x39mm ammunition, as seen below:
Upon being converted, It should be called "Sig 550 (7.62x39MM)" Its magazine type will change from taking the standard SG550 magazine to AK47 and / or Sako magazines.
The sig 550 was hardly manufactured in 7.62x39mm however, But other variants of the SG550 series, such as the 553, and 556, were, under the name Sig 556R
The benefits of this conversion will be:
- More damage
- AK / SAKO Mag compatibility
- Louder
At the cost of:
- More recoil
- Less controllability
- Maybe a slightly reduced ROF Too?
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Sparks interest in this underused gun
- More dynamics in customizability
- Could break the gun meta
What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Possible modelling work could be needed.
- Lack of a guarentee it will be used even with the 7.62x39mm conversion.
