I believe no rules were broken here, instead you yourself broke 3.3 as realistically those numerous bat hits would have rendered you motionless. You instead decided to keep on walking whilst being hit and even open the car door. You should not attack someone if you don't intend to cause harm. You were a threat to this man with the baseball bat and he responded once you physically assaulted him.
As for killing you when you lagged out, there is no rules against that. Whilst it is unfortunate, it is simply your fault that you lagged out at a pretty bad time. He was justified in killing you judging by the fact you'd assaulted him earlier and had returned with a firearm on your back attempting to follow him in to his shop. Whilst he could've called the police, the fact that you were so close behind him meant it would not have been plausible.

A simple punch, is no reason to kill someone, you don't see people in real life killing eachother, over a little punch.
As for 3.3, even if i was getting batted, you can still move whilst injured, unless he smacks me in the leg, i can still use my legs to walk away and try and preserve my life.

From what I see here, the person breaking rules here is you. He hit you several times with a bat, IRL you would not of been able to run away from him, get into your car or just jump over it. He had a very good reason to attack you with his bat: He was just defending himself. You punched him and at least I would see that as a threat.
So as I said previously, the person who should be punished here is you for breaking 3.3, but not James.

This guy's done absolutely nothing wrong here. You physically harmed him, so he decided to hit you with a baseball bat, which is allowed.
You need to understand that IRL, if somebody hit you with a baseball bat, it doesn't mean they have the intention to kill you, just to hurt you. Badly.
If he wanted to kill you, I'm sure he'd get a pistol or a knife and kill you, instead of just hitting you with a bat. That way he'd be able to finish you off, too, after knocking you unconscious. You can't finish people off with bats, mate!
And yes, I have tried doing EDITS to change the colour of the above text from red to black, but it won't let me for some odd reason.
Oh, and a small tip for -Tyrone- (If you're looking), next time just do "/me opens the car door" and then "/me pulls the man out" if you want a guy to get out of his car when it's off. That's what I do, I'm sure @The HitMan remembers

This isnt random, you provoked him. he retaliated, should of just walked away without assaulting him. would of saved you the hassle of making an ar over nothing. you picked a fight you couldn't Finnish.
