Aspiring software engineers or game developers?

Just the other day I met another aspiring programmer on the server and was surprised to know that he was actually working on a very similar project to what I'm working on now, obviously I'd expect the creators of the server to fill this section as well, but was wondering if anyone else is working on any small projects whether it be any type of indie development from things such as voice acting, music, story writing, programming, level design etc. If you have an interest in this kind of stuff let me hear it, I'm interested in who might be the next notch of the perpheads community.
