Why were you punished?: 3.4, 5.1 - User failed to comply under gunpoint from an officer. In another situation the user attempted to gunpoint a player to mug then whilst said player had a gun in passive, this lead to this users death.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Because I honestly think the ban was a bit unfair and was handled too quickly.
For the first situation, I understand I didn’t comply when I was being gun pointed by an officer. I’m not going to sit here and say I did nothing wrong, but I don’t think that alone should’ve instantly gone to a ban.
With the second situation, I tried to gunpoint the player to mug them while they had their gun in passive. The thing I don’t think was properly taken into account is that his gun wasn’t visible. I tried to explain this at the time, but I feel like the admin didn’t really listen to that part of my explanation before making the decision.
I understand that I still made a mistake with the situation, but I wasn’t knowingly trying to abuse the passive gun system. The situation also ended with me dying, so I wasn’t gaining some advantage from it or trying to get an easy kill.
My main issue is that it feels like the admin just went straight for the ban instead of actually looking at the context of both situations and what I was trying to explain. I would’ve understood a warning or something similar, but going straight to a ban feels excessive to me.
I’m not saying I played both situations perfectly, because I didn’t. I just think the full context should be taken into account, especially the fact that the gun wasn’t visible in the second situation.
I’d appreciate it if another admin could have a look at the evidence and reconsider the ban.
