Why should this appeal be considered?: I want to take full responsibility and sincerely apologize for my use of racial slurs. What I said was wrong, deeply hurtful, and completely unacceptable. I recognize that words have power, and the language I used carried a long and painful history of oppression and discrimination. There is no excuse for my actions, and I am truly sorry to anyone I hurt or offended.
I understand that my words may have caused pain, disappointment, and a loss of trust. That pain is real and valid, and I deeply regret being the cause of it. I know that simply saying "I'm sorry" is not enough—I must show through my actions that I am committed to change and to learning from this serious mistake.
Since this incident, I’ve taken time to reflect on my behavior and educate myself about the impact of racist language. I am committed to learning more about the struggles others face and how I can be a better ally to communities affected by racism. I will be holding myself accountable moving forward, seeking out resources, engaging in conversations, and doing the work necessary to ensure I never repeat this mistake.
I ask for forgiveness, not out of expectation, but in the hope that my growth and genuine remorse can be a step toward making amends. I am truly sorry, and I promise to do better—from today and every day going forward.
