Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Don't have a clip. but the guy who reported me does i guess.
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Matthew
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Days

Your Steam Name: Taylor
Your Roleplay Name: Sofia Kennedy
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:15410988

Why were you punished?: For killing someone after they brandished a firearm and threatened me

Why should this appeal be considered?: When has the 2.5 rule changed? To my knowledge it has always been the case that if someone pulls out a firearm.. looks at you.. and issues you commands/a threat you are able to retaliate and kill them?

Basically i changed the radio channel on this dudes radio (in a public space, wasn't even in his shop) and he stood up, looked at me, brandished a firearm (with clear intention of using it against me) and issues commands.

Surely he would be in violation of a rule here in some way, not me?

This literally is him threatening my life, so i don't really understand how this is 2.5?

Surely this should be clearly outlined in the rules as i used to play years ago and you could defo kill someone for this type of behaviour... like he is literally pulling out a gun and commanding me to do something.. so i killed him?

especially if someone is a "gang" member. Like in "real life" if someone looks at you, pulls out a firearm and issues you commands then if i was a "gang" member i wouldn't take such actions lightly?

The ban says "but the player did not threaten to use it or aim the weapon.".. but the act of them pulling it out would indicate they are going to use the weapon, otherwise they wouldn't have pulled it out?

Additional Information: not really, but reading through the rules again i can't really see anything that outlines something like this?

If he didn't want to die then why pull out a gun and threaten someone?

The only instance of 2.5 here i guess would be the fact that someone else sadly died in the crossfire. but i warned them that i would throw a grenade and i spoke to them OOC and they were completely fine with it so it didn't negatively impact them in anyway.

2.5 has not changed in the ways you described, and even if it did it is your own responsibility to make sure you are up-to-date with it.
He had his gun out in passive stance and told you to stop touching the radio, he never directly and explicitly stated he would harm you and/or pointed the weapon at you.
