Why were you punished?: 1.1, 3.4 - User kept on failing to leave an active investigaton whne told to by officers multiple times, causing them to get arrested for 3.4. The user then continued to insult me in the report when told that they were breaking the rules. Length due to poor 3.4 history and conduct.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I’m appealing this punishment because I don’t believe my actions were intentional rule-breaking. The situation escalated quickly, and a lot of my behavior came from confusion due to unclear instructions.
Regarding Rule 3.4 (Putting your Life at Risk), I understand why it was applied, but I don’t believe I was deliberately ignoring police orders or staying near the investigation without reason. Officers Megaslaw and Jonathan Gin gave me commands like “go away” (around 0:15–0:25) and later “drive away” (around 0:30–0:40), even though I was on foot. These commands didn’t clearly explain where I was supposed to go or how far I needed to leave, which is where a lot of the confusion came from.
Around this same time, Officer Jonathan Gin called me “annoying” shortly after I arrived. That comment felt unnecessary and added tension, which led me to respond poorly. i argued that this was a public parking lot and that the commands I was being given were unclear or didn’t really apply to me. I wasn’t trying to interfere, but to understand what was expected so I could comply.
When Officer Megaslaw gave a final warning, I did try to comply by leaving and getting into my friend’s G-Wagon. At about 3:45, lag caused me to briefly lose control and walk into a bench. Once I regained control and saw my friends had moved, I walked toward them. They were parked several spaces away in the public lot, which I believed gave the officers enough space to continue their investigation. My intention at that point was to disengage, not remain involved.
i also want to address Rule 1.1 (Disrespectful Behaviour). I admit I made insulting remarks toward Megaslaw in the report, and I take responsibility for that. I was extremely frustrated at the time because I believed Megaslaw both filed and reviewed the report, which I misunderstood and reacted to poorly. That frustration led to wording I shouldn’t have used, and I understand now that I should’ve handled it better.
I understand staff decisions aren’t personal, and i regret letting my frustration turn into disrespect toward someone handling the situation.
I know my past 3.4 history was considered, but I’d really appreciate this incident being looked at on its own. This wasn’t me intentionally putting my character at risk or refusing to follow orders, it was a misunderstanding that escalated due to unclear communication.
Going forward, I’ll make sure to disengage more clearly and keep my frustration in check, even if I feel something isn’t fair. I’m asking for some leniency or reconsideration based on the full context of what happened.
Thanks for taking the time to review this.

Additional Information: This is just some extra context to go along with the appeal above, not to restate or argue the same points again.
One thing I wanted to point out is how fast everything happened. From the start of the interaction to when I tried to comply with the final warning, it was only about 36 seconds. In that short time, there were a lot of commands being given close together, sometimes overlapping, which made it harder for me to fully process what was actually being asked before things escalated.
Related to Law 6.5 (Failure to Comply), my responses during that time weren’t meant as refusal. It was more confusion. The appeal already explains why the instructions felt unclear, but the speed of the interaction itself added to that. With multiple people talking and commands being repeated quickly, it wasn’t obvious what action would immediately resolve things.
i also want to add a bit of personal context that wasn’t fully explained before. At the time, i was listening to music and was already pretty exhausted from work before getting on. I’m not saying that as an excuse, just to explain why it took me longer to fully register and react to everything being said at once.
As mentioned in the appeal regarding Rule 3.4 (Putting Your Life at Risk), I didn’t feel like I was intentionally putting my freedom at risk. any risk came from how quickly things escalated and the confusion in that short window, not from me choosing to ignore orders.
The appeal also talks about Rule 1.1 (Disrespectful Behaviour). What I want to clarify here is that the frustration that led to me lashing out and flaming in the report built up from how overwhelming the interaction felt in the moment. that frustration carried over afterward, which is where I handled things poorly. i still take responsibility for that.
