Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User failed to comply whilst under gunpoint from an LEO.

Why should this appeal be considered?: While I was warranted, an officer pointed a gun at me. I jumped down into cover, which broke the officer's line of sight on me. Once I was behind cover and the officer could not see, I pulled out my firearm and then shot and killed him. I believed this was allowed under rule 3.4, as I had reached cover and was no longer directly under gunpoint when I pulled out my weapon. Because of this, I believe my actions did not violate the rule and I would like the ban to be reconsidered.

Your claim that you used cover in this given situation is poor judgement, your positioning cannot save you from being gun pointed. The Officer had constant line of sight to you which was never broken.

Covers to break line of sight can be utilized if the positioning is right, such as a nearby corner or a barricade/vehicle to give you adequate protection against bullets if you proceed to retaliate. There is not much you could do in this spot as your entire body is exposed, running inside NEON could have potentially worked but only if you reacted early enough as the Officer was already right at your face with a gun up so that option is also out.
