Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Phondoos
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Weeks
Your Steam Name: Reiss Fowler
Your Roleplay Name: Reiss Fowler
Your SteamID: STEAM_1:0:62474716
Why were you punished?: Apparent Metagaming
Why should this appeal be considered?: To the staff team,
This is a dispute of the ban I received for “metagaming,” which, after looking at the supposed evidence, is a massive stretch at best and a complete misapplication of the rule at worst.
Phoondos hit me with an F6 based on Steam messages between me and Gorgan (HDArcade). The screenshots show conversations that took place after I was either dead for a while or disconnected. There was no way anything I said could have affected the outcome of the events in-game. None.
What’s actually in the messages?
Me saying “they ran Lesley over” with a clip attached.
Me asking if he picked up seeds after I disconnected and went to bed.
Me saying “I killed one” while he was literally behind me in-game and watching the same thing.
Its not like I was cuffed asking anyone to save me, or dead asking for a revive, now thats metagame, see the difference?
That’s not metagaming, that’s me sharing moments with a friend after they happened, with zero influence on anything ongoing. If you want to call that metagaming, then nearly everyone on the server is guilty. Sharing clips, reacting to in-game stuff over Steam or Discord, that’s daily life on this server.
There’s no advantage being passed, no secret info, and no manipulation of roleplay. Even the “go buy the bank” message? That’s something he could’ve done anyway or just typed /help for. It didn’t change anything.
This ban is based on screenshots pulled completely out of context, judged with zero consideration for what actually happened or when it happened. It feels targeted, reactionary, and not applied with any consistency. I’m not apologizing I already did once out of desperation, not guilt. I'm not repeating it when I know this wasn’t real metagaming.
If this level of conversation counts as a rule break, then you better start handing out bans to 90% of your player base staff included. Because this kind of thing happens constantly, and it never gets punished. Why did it now?
I’m not asking for special treatment I’m demanding consistency. If the rules matter, they apply to everyone. If context matters, then actually look at it. Otherwise, don’t pretend this is about fairness.
Why else would I have clips of these very specific things i'm accused of, if I was doing anything but sharing cool moments?
