Why were you punished?: 1.2 Discrimination and 1.6 Lied to staff.
Why should this appeal be considered?: The whole thing happened during a very heated RP situation i had just been scammed and i started to say something i immediately regreted and cut myself off i never finished a "Racial Slur" because i immediately knew that i was about to mess up so i cut myself off it was never intended it simply slipped during an argument IG, i believe that the way it was handled wasnt fair and i also think the 2 month ban is really excessive based of what happened.
I never completed the slur and it wasnt something i planned to say in a hateful way it just slipped out during a heated situation ingame i also realized immediately what i was about to say and cut myself off. i stopped mid word caught myself and didnt finish i think that should matter i knew i was about to break a rule however i caught myself before i had actually broken any rules.
Moderator hinted to me almost saying the N word however it can be alot of things so i guess he was refering to ni****. However when the moderator asked me what i was about to say i was honest telling him i almost said ***nog and was then told to "quit playing games" in an aggressive manner even though i was completely honest. (The word i was about to say is an equal slur so i had nothing to gain by lying either)
I didnt lie to staff i was upfront about what happened and made no attempt to cover it up. I feel the moderator in this situation was immediately hostile not seeing my side of the story banning me on assumptions rather than listening to what i said. I was being cooperative but all i was able to respond to him saying "quit playing games" was "WDYM" (what do you mean) before i got banned
Additional Information: I understand that I ALMOST broke 1.2 but in my opinion i didnt... i caught myself i knew i was about to screw up and that should count. I have a clean record with no warnings/bans on PERPHeads, i've followed the rules consistently and never caused issues. But that was not taken into account when this punishment was issued. I had hoped that maybe some benefit of the doubt or at least a lighter consequence would've applied based on that.
Instead i got a full 2 month ban even though this was my first "Offense" (im still standing by my point that i dont feel i broke a rule) also got labeled as someone who "lied to staff" which is not the case i can if questions comes up regarding exactly what i was about to say, answer them in DM or private instead of on forum as i'd rather not break forum rules.
And i'd just like to compare this to situations:
If a player walks toward their NLR locaiton and then turns back before breaking the rule, they're usually not punished, and im wondering why is this situation different??
I started saying something realized what it was about to turn into and chose to stop before i broke any rules. I came clean, admitted what i almost said and yet i was punished as if i said a racial slur, plus i was accused of lying when i was doing the opposite...
