Why were you punished?: 1.1, 2.6 - Constantly unnecessary disrespecting players in OOC and in chats, failing to report a person prop pushing.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Hi, firstly I’d like to say that this dispute isn’t supposed to be a ‘Hit piece’ on a staff member or an attempt to defame them, we have mainly sorted our differences and misunderstandings through private messages. I have made some certain details vague so that this staff member can't be identified. I’d like to start by referring to the 1.1 charge, which on scambans says “Constantly unnecessary disrespecting players in OOC and in chats”. After checking my private messages, I was given a different reason, which was “Constant disrespect from your side in OOC and on other chats towards staff members". I was confused, not only was my initial ban reason not publicly shown I had not directly insulted any staff. After some confusion I found that staff had gone through my organization messages and had found two petty insults I made about a particular staff member in private on the same day. Without going into detail, my friend had accused this staff-member of being unfair in a certain regard and I made a rude comment in private about this staff member on organization chat during the discussion. I was also told that I had made comments previously about this person on OOC by the staff member, these messages only consisted of me referring to the punishment he gave me and why he gave me it, I made no further comments about it. After some brief messages on forums, it was found that the staff member believed I had a random grudge against him and it was said that the final reason for my ban was in-fact supposed to say "OOC disrespectful comments in organization chat". I quickly cleared up that although I have had previous negative-interactions with this person and generally attempt to avoid them for that reason, that I have no ill-intention towards him and that I don’t have any issues against him personally. I didn’t intend for him to see those messages, as it was a private discussion between me and my org members, said out of frustration which was later found by him, and I apologized to him for it.
