Chop Shop mission, didn't get paid?

Hi, I stole the car for the chop shop mission and delivered it to the location. It then said hide from the police, so I hid for over 5 minutes and it then said I took too long to get the car and the deal is off? I believe this is a glitch as I collected and delivered the car, I was just hiding from police and awaiting payment?
