Server Suggestion custom car horns

Suggestion Title: custom car horns
Suggestion Description: add your own custom horns that admins have to obviously review to be allowed

Why should this be added?:
- i think this addition would be a fun thing to add for people to use in there cars, so they'd get there mp3 or mp4 file and admins review it to allow it and then when its approved they go to the car dealer shop and for when you customise car there could be an option for them to upload there own horns,
personally id just think it would be a cool and fun addition for cars

What negatives could this have?:
- the only thing about this is if people add offence audio but that's why admins will review it to approve/deny it

Tbh the vehicle horns do need a bit of a revamp, they're pretty lame as it is and different vehicles having different horns would be a nice addition to the vehicle customization

New horns for different cars would be nice, but I think custom horns would be a step too far, cause if I hear someone put baby shark on their car horn, then they're getting RDMed

I pretty much agree with the inferior Allen. Horns could do with a bit of a change (including the immensely obnoxious police horns), however custom horns seems may be a bit too far. There is already often a backlog of reports recently, giving staff something else to worry about additionally doesn’t seem too wise.

I woudnt necessarily say they have to "worry about it " the player should expect a wait and its not too hard to listen to a mp3 and see its not 1.2 or porn

New horn sounds you can choose yes but for the love of god do not make it a .mp3 thing anyone can upload to, it’s a spaghetti nightmare as all this uploaded information would need to be stored clientside as an in game custom sound effect.

yes okay fair but as i have stated admins can approve or deny the audio and even at that if the admin thinks the audio is to much they can easily deny it, and it can easily be made an mp4 if that makes peoples lives easier

New horn sounds are a good idea, maybe some audiophile here can get a good recording of different car horns to add.

Custom horns does just seem a bit silly though, I wouldn’t really wanna feel like I’m playing GTA or darkrp, I think slight variation between cars would be really cool, but should be kept mostly standardized.

that is a fair point but i mean it could be a slow process getting it up in running the admins or whoever could have the community pick a few sounds and then a number of admins can have a meeting about it and say yes or no yk, and if that doesn't work out there could always be an update to them just like different cars have different horns like the actual cars horns in real life like for example, golf horn in real life can be taken from YouTube or in a recording and get put into the files and then that horn is only available for the golf in game, both options are a slow process but me and probably alot of outher people would agree that its needed

i think a compromise at the very least that could work for both sides if the suggestion in its full self is declined would be to have the community managers at some point host a competition engaging the community to see who can suggest the most wanted car horn sfx added then submit that sound pack of the top picked/voted on choices to the devs to implement into the live server in a balanced way. Alternatively the developers could find their own sfx and make a pack then do the integrating.

First method is engaging to the developers, the CMs and even the community itself. The second gets the job done faster while containing a note-worthy con of being non-voted on by the community therefore many might still want more but both efficiently will save resources by eliminating the need for staff to constantly whitelist/blacklist or review new submissions of car horns in contrast to the idea behind the original post asking for everything to be manually reviewed.

yes we definitely need to engage this to the devs but i mean i have no clue how to do what or anything i mean im a new ish player never made a suggestion before yk but it would be such a good thing to add in if they accept it

Exactly this, we dont need muscial horns, i just want to be able to hold down ctrl for the longer horn, the amount of times i want to angrily beep at someone and it does a friendly toot toot. me not happy with the toot toot like a citroen i want the german angry sounding horns.
See if we could just rip a few from forza maybe.

yeah i mean thats fair enough, and what i also was thinking they could get some horns like basically, they get a horn of a golf from YouTube or irl and they import it into the game and then that horn is only available to the golf if you know what i mean, yes it is a long process but i think its worth it
