So I looked at my harddrive space as my game wasn't launching and saw that I had no space left and tried to clear out my demos folder as it had demos dating back to 2018. I deleted them and launched my game only for it not to start again, I checked my demos folder again and they had started to come back.
I have reinstalled the game which seemed to work but when I switched account to play csgo with hotdog6 it started to happen again.
I even tried disabling this option in properties and restarted steam for it to still do the same thing.
