Suggestion Title: Dispatch: Direct radio to units/incidents
Suggestion Description: Add a button on incidents and units for Dispatch to switch their currently-unused secondary radio channel and ‘N’ to that incident/unit, allowing them to relay quick and direct messages or eavesdrop on incidents for updates. Their currently selected secondary channel is displayed in the dispatch window and can be reset via a button or keybind.
Why should this be added?:
+ Gives Dispatchers a better idea of what is going on at incidents
+ Allows quick direct communication without relying on pinging officers or text radio
+ Further incentivises officers to use incident radio
+ Reduces use of global radio for dispatcher direct comms this making the experience more enjoyable for everyone
+ Improves functionality for the Dispatch role
What negatives could this have?:
- None jump out at me; the N key is unused at the moment and this feature is completely optional to use.
What problem would this suggestion solve?: See ‘Why’
